My Reflexive Piece

One of the most popular trends in this new modern world is technology. Everything nowadays is controlled by technology, including ourselves and the things we used to do; everything is changing, and technology is changing us all. We became more engrossed in social media, which led to both development and devastation. Cyberbullying has become a reality and in our face problem among young people today. This harassment has no end, which includes the classroom, students also are attached to their screens almost 24/7, which is causing an entirely new set of social issues to pop up and for them to forget school and their education because they show so much focus on the internet. As technology became more prevalent in the classroom or students, teachers have new ways to empower student learning. In modern education, there is a focus on helping students take control of learning and became responsible for their education, by teaching them using the trending way of teaching and educate, it is by empowering students using technology.

Empowerment technology subject was such a very hard and challenging subject for me however It teaches us/me about how to handle technology well, it gives tips, guidelines, etc. In this subject, I have learned a lot like how to make a blog, Powerpoint, Prezi presentation, what is the Internet all about, how to be safe online. This subject also helps me to know more about ICT or Information Communication Technology. I  learned about the WWW or World Wide Web, internet, static and dynamic web pages, key features, semantic web, several problems about 3.0, mobile technologies, trends in ICT, mobile OS, how to be safe online, six types of social media, internet threats and many more are the lessons that we tackled and learn about. All of the lessons that I’ve learned here in this subject will help me a lot and I will apply them in my life.
